Chrome 6 1/2" headlamp unit, complete with switch panel and ammeter, equivalent to the Lucas MU42 model. The MU42 lamp is similar to the earlier DU42, but with a different rim fixing. It was widely used post-war from 1947 until the SSU700 was introduced in 1950.
British pre-focus light unit with 35mm deep (out from rim) domed 'cat's eye' lens, retained in chrome rim with four headlamp wires. Complete with 6V British pre-focus P36D bulb with twin transverse filament and wired bulb holder. Also BA9S pilot light bulb in wired bulb holder. Rim catch arrangement is cast rim catch equivalent to Lucas part 509936 plus spectacle wire. Two side bolt fixing - approx 160mm minimum mounting width required. 150mm lens aperture, 175mm max rim diameter, 180mm max length.
