A PAIR of all in one LED light boards and split Red/Amber lenses for conversion of Lucas ST38 'Pork Pie' type Stop & Tail lamps (with or without number plate illumination) with all RED lenses to Stop, Tail, INDICATOR & Number Plate illumination operation. On board electronics make this product suitable for 6V & 12V vehicles, and Positive & Negative earth systems.
This is a new product specially designed to fit the Lucas ST38 lamp and modern reproductions to the original pattern, such as '776' part numbered products. The product features a main, circular RED and AMBER light board with a centre slot that fits over/locates on the vertical partition of the triple bulb holder bolted into the ST38 body. An additional WHITE LED light board is attached perpendicular to the main board to provide number plate illumination - though the assembly can be used in lamps with or without a number plate illumination window.
The board is fitted with three BA15S bulb base connectors on 10cm connecting wires. One connection illuminates the Tail light (first brightness RED) and the Number Plate light (WHITE). The second connection illuminates the Stop light (second brightness RED). The third connection illuminates the AMBER indication/turn signal LEDs. Use of bulb base style connectors allows easy return of the lamp to its original condition if required.
These boards have a very low power requirement and provide great all over lens lighting from 30 RED LEDs and 24 AMBER LEDs, with the fast response time/illumination under braking characteristic of LEDs - plus good distinction between STOP and TAIL brightnesses. This is a 'plug and play' product that requires no other attachment other than plugging in the three bulb connectors, locating the slot in the LED board over the original bulb holder partition and reassembly of the lamps with the new Red/Amber lenses instead of the all Red lenses. Four 3mm thick foam lens seals are provided in the kit, one for either side of each lens if required. Conversion kit for a PAIR of lamps.
