PAIR of all in one LED light boards and split Red/Amber lenses for conversion of Lucas ST51 SPLIT lens 'D Lamp' type Stop & Tail lamps (with or without number plate illumination) fitted with all RED lenses, to Stop, Tail, INDICATOR & number plate illumination operation. On board electronics make this product suitable for 12V vehicles only, either Positive or Negative earth.
This is a new product specially designed to fit the Lucas ST51 lamp and modern reproductions to the original pattern, such as Vinate Supplies'/sVc's '249A' and '428A' part numbered products. The product features a main, D shaped light board with two sections of LEDs - one RED and one AMBER - that locates between the original lens and the lens retaining wire. An additional WHITE LED light board is attached perpendicular to the main board to provide number plate illumination, though the assembly is suitable for D lamps with or without a number plate illumination window.
The board is fitted with one bulb base BA15D connector (please note - equal NOT offset pin) on 15cm connecting wires and one BA15S bulb base connector on 10cm connecting wires. One terminal of the BA15D base illuminates the Tail light (first brightness RED) and the Number Plate light (WHITE). The second terminal illuminates the Stop light (second brightness RED). The BA15S connection iluminates the AMBER indication/turn signal LEDs. Use of bulb base style connectors allows easy return of the lamp to its original condition if required.
These boards have a very low power requirement and provide great all over lens lighting from 27 RED LEDs and 24 AMBER LEDs, with the fast response time/illumination under braking characteristic of LEDs - plus good distinction between STOP and TAIL brightnesses. This is a 'plug and play' product that requires no attachment other than plugging in the two bulb connectors and locating the LED board between the lens and the lens retaining spring clip, then reassembly of the lamps with the new Red/Amber lenses instead of the all Red split lens. Two 1.5mm thick rubber lens seals are provided in the kit, one for each lens if required. Conversion kit for a PAIR of lamps.
